This stunning private valley is a real shangri-la, lost-in-time and situated in the Samoeng River Valley of northern Thailand yet only 4 killometers north of Samoeng town and its schools, hospital and other amenities in the beautiful mountains of Chiang Mai which is only 50 minutes away. The land is surrounded by protected National Park so is not overlooked by anyone. It offers a perfect retreat for anyone wishing to have guaranteed privacy in a stunning natural location only a few minutes drive from local amenities and services. The land already has electricity on site. The land has its own 150 meter river frontage with a large large building plot overlooking the panoramic view.
The building plot is on a 2 Rai raised flat area which has a 1 Rai Chanote deed for building a large property with a ground floor area of approximately 1500 sq metres. This side of the river was raised by 3.5 metres 6 years ago and has now settled so is ready for building and was chosen for the location of the main building because of its panoramic view of the five hills on the opposite side of the river.
On the opposite side of the river is an additional flat 385 sq wah Nor Sor 3 plot which also runs adjacent to the river and 5 hills covering an area of 10.5 Rai. The land is reached by a 100 metre government road off of the main road giving guaranteed access. The land has a fresh water spring that flows all year from the top of one of the 5 hills. The source is in the National park. In the wet season this creates a waterfall over a rock face between two of the hills. The spring has been used to irrigate each of the hills when it was an orange plantation.
The Samoeng river flows across the land and is currently crossed by a wood and bamboo bridge. A concrete or stone bridge could easily be built across the river if wanted. The current owners have all paperwork and deeds including Chanote, Nor Sor 3 and all other signed documents from the land registry and national parks department confirming boundaries, ownership and right of access. The road to Samoeng from Chiang Mai is one of the most picturesque in northern Thailand being just off the Samoeng - Maerim loop. Samoeng town is well known for its strawberry growing and has two major schools, a hospital, bank, post office, 7 Eleven, Tesco and market. The prestigious American Pacific International School is only 25 minutes away. The popular city of Chiang Mai is less than an hour away.
